It's from the Dallas Zildjian Day (I was there, but can't remember
the year for sure- either 83 or 84(?)

By the way,this topic reminds me..does anyone know of a
database of some sort that lists all the Zildjian Days(and who
performed at them)? I've searched extensively for the info, and
haven't come up with anything..thanks for any help,

This is on that ebay compilation DVD that was out a while ago. It's an older Zildjian Day.

Anyone know what he's demonstrating? It looks like someone asked him about a groove on a particuliar song. I'd love to know if it's like some Zappa thing I've overlooked.

GroovePig, yeah I believe that's an old Chaka Khan groove from "I Feel For You".

Did Vinnie even play on that song/album?! I remember it sounding like a drum machine on the album... although I last heard that when I was like 12. It's got to be one of the cheesiest songs EVER... I can't stand those harmonica leads. Funky-assed groove though. (y)
